A pair of trousers you’ll reach for again and again

There is something quietly transformative about a pair of trousers that fit properly.

Not too tight.
Not slipping down.
Not sitting awkwardly.

Just… right.

Over two calm, focused days in the studio, you’ll make your own pair of easy, wearable summer trousers. The kind you’ll find yourself reaching for morning after morning.

Soft, comfortable, and made to suit you.

What you’ll make

You’ll create a pair of relaxed-fit summer trousers, designed for comfort and everyday wear.

Think:

  • Elastic or drawstring waist
  • Gentle shaping through the leg
  • A silhouette that works with your body, not against it
  • Optional pockets (because we all love pockets)

These are not complicated trousers - they’re thoughtfully simple, beautifully made, and incredibly useful.

What you’ll learn

This workshop is about more than just making a garment.

You’ll come away with a deeper understanding of:

  • How to cut and handle fabric with confidence
  • How trousers go together (in a way that actually makes sense)
  • How to make small adjustments so they sit better on your body
  • How to sew neat seams, waistbands, and finishes
  • How to approach garment-making without overwhelm

We’ll guide you through each step, so you always know what you’re doing - and more importantly - why.

Who this is for

This workshop is ideal if you:

  • Have some basic sewing experience
  • Feel a little unsure when it comes to garment construction
  • Want to start making clothes you’ll genuinely wear
  • Would like a supportive, small-group environment

You don’t need to be “advanced” - just willing to learn.

What to bring

  • Your chosen fabric (we’ll advise you beforehand - lightweight linens, cottons or viscose work beautifully)
  • Matching thread
  • Basic sewing kit if you have one

Machines and equipment are all provided in the studio.

Some Lunch - We have a cafe on site that does a mean stuffed jacket potato or you are welcome to bring along some of your own and enjoy it in the studio.

What you’ll leave with

  • A finished pair of summer trousers
  • Skills you can use again and again
  • A better understanding of how clothes come together
  • And a quiet confidence that you can make more
